DEN MEETINGS

The den is the place where Scouting starts. In the den, Cub Scouts experience belonging, develop new skills and interests, practice sportsmanship and good citizenship, and learn to do their best.

Your child will be a part of a Den (Lions, Tigers, Bears, Wolves, or Webelos) based on grade level. Dens meet under the direction of the adult Den Leaders to follow a curriculum of activities, including games, projects, skits, stunts, songs, outdoor activities, trips, and service projects. Besides being fun, these activities offer opportunities for growth, achievement, and family involvement. Parents are invited to attend den meetings along with their child.

Den meetings are on Monday nights from 6:30pm-7:30pm at the First United Methodist Church Education Wing.

FAMILY INVOLVEMENT

Whether a Cub Scout lives with two parents or one, a foster family, or other relatives, their family is an important part of Cub Scouting. Parents and adult family members provide leadership and support for Cub Scouting and help the Scouts have a good experience in the program. Fill out the family talent survey below to find how your unique skills can make a difference for the pack.

Once a month, all of the dens, with their families, join together at the Pack Meeting, where Scouts show off the new skills they have learned during the month and are recognized for the badges they have earned. Recognition is important to everyone. The advancement plan provides fun for the Scouts and gives them a sense of personal achievement as they earn loops, pins, and awards.

Our pack meetings are typically the last Monday of the month, from 6:30pm-7:30pm at the First United Methodist Church.

“Pack 18 has been like a second family for my child. As a Tiger scout, he developed friendships with kids that are his best friends even now in his teenage years. ”

“I love that the parents and families we've met through scouts create a sense of belonging and shared values for my family.”
